I have mixed emotions about leaving Middle School. It's so easy! But I'm ready to leave that "ghetto"*(see bottom) place ... but I'm not necessarily ready to enter the ups and downs of High School. I'll have Carmen with me for my Freshman year, so hopefully I'll learn a bit from her about the schedule, and which teachers to have, and to avoid, etcetera etcetera. (I'm sure she'd be more than willing to help me. Wink wink.)
With the end of school year comes many fun things! Lagoon, Honors assemblies, Yearbooks, Yearbook signing days, and the teachers don't take attendance! I could go on.
But, there is one thing about the end of year that is single-handedly the worst thing on the planet.
end of level testing!!
(insert scary music)
There is sooo much stuff that all the teachers cover in just 2 semesters, and sometimes, they don't even teach you some of the things that are on the test. (Thankfully) I had GREAT core class teachers who made sure that their students knew everything that would be on that test. I can add that to my list of blessings.
Have you ever noticed that some people are great test-takers. They never do homework, never study, and fall asleep during class. Then, they ACE tests! What's with that?! (I'm jealous.)
... Then there's the people that study and study, pay the closest attention to the teacher, and do great on homework... but not tests. I, sadly, am one of those people. sigh.
Hopefully there's a mixture of the two out there.
I've already finished Science and English testing. They were easier than I thought... but then again, I thought they would be impossible. I set my hopes low, so that it would be easier than I thought. I actually am smart. :) They were quite difficult. :P
Well, there you have it. Thanks for reading this ramble. :)
*In science one day, Mr. Lockwood explicitly told us that our school was "GHETTO!"
That's just his personality. Haha:)
